My father left my brother and I at a young age. I also grew up with a single mother who has a personality disorder and regularly cut me down. This left me feeling insecure, small, afraid to take risks, feeling alone, and unable to trust my instincts.
For as long as I can remember, I have loved music and singing but have been terrified of the stage.
I was that girl in grade school whose face would look like a cherry, her armpits drenched, and her hand quivered during speeches. I never imagined I would be on a stage sharing my music someday and that it would be used to inspire so many people.
Seeing and embracing my value, getting healthy with safe support, and healing from past wounds were why I was able to get on that stage for the first time in front of 1000 people after being given an award in songwriting excellence. I realized then that I had a gift to share with the world.
As a keynote speaker, when I combine speaking with original live music, I empower individuals and organizations to gain clarity and confidence to extinguish their self-limiting beliefs and take purposeful action to create, own, and live their desired life. -- A memorable experience and "songversation" with the audience.
I believe you have a unique story, set of gifts, and worth. No matter what your dreams or obstacles are, you have the power to change your life, and by doing so, you will inspire others to do the same.
Thank you for being here, for reading this, and for allowing me into your life. You are truly remarkable.
